Hello everyone,
Today was my last day at INFN Lecce, which meant finishing up the project and drawing conclusions of the experience.
First of all today we started with the final part of the planned project and managed to finish this by the end of the morning, therefore we continued with the next step of the project that was planned for next week for my host to do alone again, but since we had time we already started this. This continuation had a lot more do to with programming and computer software than the data acquisition and analysis that we did earlier this week. During the afternoon we continued working on this but were not able to finish this as this was also a project for multiple days.
Secondly, this week has been very educational and I have experienced some things that I would never have experienced was it not for this internship. Data acquisition and analysis would not be something I am usually extremely interested in but this week showed that it can be really exciting. Also I have learned a lot about the way INFN functions within the university of Lecce and how it works together with other international research organizations. Lastly I have seen the way a university functions in relation to its researchers and students.
Therefore, I would say that this week was very successful and has been really enjoyable for me and my host.
